We take pictures of the things we’d like to remember and things that represent our ideals. One of my favorite things is documenting the action, drama and emotion when we run into these situations during life.

In addition to professional photography, my other love is designing. I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Utah. Architecture is the perfect compliment to photography because it challenges me to compose space, whereas photography is partly a composition in space.

Some of the photos I enjoying taking are abstract. This stems from my search for an ideal. I feel that photographing a subject with special sensitivity to its surroundings can lead to a documentation of it which shows it the way we imagine it to be. This optimistic attitude affects photography in a positive manner.
